This morning I stood in my cosy little winter‑cold kitchen, clutching my cup of tea like a lifeline, listening to the kids wake up. Three of them. Three very different personalities. Three very bored children who love each other… until they’ve been stuck inside together for more than 20 minutes.

By 8:07am I’d already heard:
“Muuuum, there’s nothing to do.”
“He touched my blanket.”
“She’s looking at me weird.”
And my personal favourite: “I’m bored but I don’t want to do anything.”

I felt that familiar school‑holiday panic rising — the How am I going to survive this? feeling.
